Streaming is an interactive installation dealing with the digital emulation of the physical world.
Through drawing in real sand the audience explores video, animation and sounds that portray 'physical streaming' - in a 'VRML' world.
The sand interface represents the transient area between land and sea / tangible and intangible environments.
Walking into a darkened exhibition space there is an illuminated platform and a projected VRML world. Ambient sounds are playing.
At the platform the user draws lines in a bed of sand.
Drawn patterns or lines are digitally translated in the projected VRML world.
Drawing in the sand, the user controls what they hear and see in the installation space.
